Man Behind Scarlett Johansson’s Leaked Nude Photos Sentenced to 10 Years in Jail

Hollywood starlets Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera and Mila Kunis can now browse the Internet free from fear, as “Hollywood Hacker” Christopher Chaney has been sentenced to ten years behind bars.

Chaney is responsible for breaking into the private online accounts of more than 50 celebrities, including the aforementioned A-Listers, and leaking private photos to the Internet in a year-long hacking spree from 2010 to 2011.

According to the Associated Press, U.S. District Judge S. James Otero sentenced Chaney after hearing from a tearful Johansson in a videotaped statement.

“I have been truly humiliated and embarrassed,” Johansson said. “I find Christopher Chaney’s actions to be perverted and reprehensible.” Chaney is responsible for leaking nude photos of Johansson (that were orginally meant for her then-husband Ryan Reynolds) online back in March of 2011.

Monday’s hearing revealed that Chaney targeted two non-celebrity women he knew as well, and even emailed a nude picture of one woman to her own father.

Both women revealed to the courts that their lives have been irreparably damaged by the hacker’s actions.

Chaney has been in custody since March, and previously pleaded guilty to nine felony counts that included wiretapping and unauthorized access to a computer. In addition to his decade behind bars, Chaney was also ordered to pay $66,179 in restitution.

Once released from jail, Chaney will be placed on three years of supervised probation and will have to notify officials of all his online accounts.
