KARACHI: A second Puma cub died at the Karachi Zoo on Thursday.
The cub died of a stroke, Zoo Director Fahim Zaman said.
The cub was very ill, and was being hand-fed for the lat few days, he added.
A puma had given birth to three cubs last month. One of them died of malnutrition and the second died due to disease.
The Karachi Zoological Gardens has had a poor a poor track record, where the deaths of several animals – including tigers, jackals, deer and even a camel of a critically endangered species – have been witnessed in recent years.
A Bengal tiger at the Karachi Zoo died on April 29 due to kidney failure.
