Elon Musk has publicly expressed regret over some of the posts he made about President Donald Trump, acknowledging that they “went too far.”<\/p>\n

The remarks, posted on Musk\u2019s social media platform, X, marks the latest shift in the tumultuous relationship between the billionaire tech entrepreneur and the US president.<\/p>\n

Musk\u2019s statement of remorse follows a bitter and public exchange between the two men.<\/p>\n

Musk, who played a key role in Trump\u2019s 2024 election campaign, using his vast financial resources to help secure a Republican victory, had recently criticised Trump\u2019s \u201cOne Big Beautiful Bill,\u201d a massive tax and spending package making its way through Congress.<\/p>\n

Musk\u2019s sharp criticisms of the bill and his departure from his government role sparked a fiery response from Trump.<\/p>\n

Trump, speaking to reporters in early June, expressed his disappointment with Musk, saying, “Elon and I had a great relationship. I don\u2019t know if we will anymore.”<\/p>\n

He also took to Truth Social, accusing Musk of “going CRAZY!” and suggesting the termination of Musk\u2019s government subsidies and contracts.<\/p>\n

In response, Musk accused the Trump administration of suppressing the release of the so-called Epstein Files, and he supported calls for Trump\u2019s impeachment.<\/p>\n

These posts have since been deleted.<\/p>\n

The social media feud came to a head when Trump declared their relationship over.<\/p>\n

Trump appeared to soften his stance on Monday, stating, \u201cI wish him well,\u201d adding that he would not have a problem with Musk calling him.<\/p>\n

While Trump hinted that he may move his Tesla off-site, he made it clear that the Starlink service provided by Musk\u2019s SpaceX would remain in use at the White House.<\/p>\n

Musk\u2019s statement of regret, without specifying which posts he was referring to, indicates a potential de-escalation in tensions.<\/p>\n

Shares of Tesla rose by 2.7% following Musk\u2019s post, according to local media reports.<\/p>\n
