We have to do what&#8217;s right,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Her statement comes amid heightened tensions in Los Angeles, where President Donald Trump\u2019s latest wave of deportation actions targeting undocumented immigrants sparked widespread protests. The demonstrations began Friday and have continued for five days. In response, Trump deployed thousands of National Guard troops and 700 Marines to the city\u2014reportedly without the authorization of California Governor Gavin Newsom.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Newsom condemned the deployment, calling it a provocative move that \u201cinflamed a combustible situation.\u201d The state has since challenged the federal action in court.<\/p>\n<p>Kardashian, who grew up in Los Angeles, emphasized the vital role immigrants play in the city\u2019s cultural and social fabric. \u201cThey are our neighbors, friends, classmates, coworkers, and family,\u201d she said. \u201cThere HAS to be a BETTER way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Although she previously expressed gratitude toward Trump in 2018 for commuting the life sentence of Alice Johnson, Kardashian\u2019s current remarks reflect a clear shift in tone. At the time, she had said she had \u201cnothing bad to say about the president.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now, Kardashian is using her influence to advocate for change.
