According to affidavits obtained by The Arizona Republic, part of the USA TODAY Network, Trigg died on May 18, six days after being found unresponsive in the family\u2019s backyard pool in Chandler, Arizona.<\/p>\n<p>Brady Kiser, Emilie\u2019s husband, told Chandler police he was at home alone with Trigg and the couple\u2019s newborn son while Emilie was out with friends. He said that after Trigg finished eating, the toddler went outside to play \u2014 something Brady noted was not unusual. The pool normally had a protective cover, he told investigators, but on that day, it was not in place.<\/p>\n<p>Brady reported losing sight of Trigg for three to five minutes while attending to the newborn. When he looked outside and saw Trigg in the pool, he immediately jumped in to pull him out and called 911.<\/p>\n<p>Police submitted search warrant applications on May 13 to retrieve footage from two backyard surveillance cameras, aiming to corroborate Brady\u2019s timeline and actions.<\/p>\n<p>In the weeks following the tragedy, Emilie Kiser filed a lawsuit seeking to prevent the public release of police documents, including the 911 call and scene photos. Her attorneys argue that the materials are &#8220;exceptionally raw and graphic&#8221; and their release would violate the family\u2019s dignity and privacy.<\/p>\n<p>The family has largely remained silent. Emilie has not posted on social media since May 12 and has disabled comments on her platforms. Brady has made his Instagram private.<\/p>\n<p>At a June 3 hearing, a judge issued an interim order blocking the release of records while the case is reviewed.
