I don\u2019t know how they sleep at night.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His comments come amid heightened international scrutiny of Israel\u2019s operations in the Gaza Strip, as well as continued debate surrounding arms sales and foreign policy in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Stewart\u2019s remarks also signal a rupture in his longtime friendship with former U.S. President Donald Trump. The 80-year-old singer explained that Trump\u2019s unwavering support for Israel has caused a personal rift. \u201cNo, I can\u2019t anymore,\u201d Stewart said of maintaining their relationship. \u201cAs long as he\u2019s selling arms to the Israelis \u2014 and he still is. How\u2019s that war ever gonna stop?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stewart and Trump had been neighbors for years in Palm Beach, Florida, frequently attending social events together. \u201cWe\u2019re both on the beach. I used to go to his Christmas parties,\u201d Stewart recalled. \u201cHe\u2019s always been a bit of a man\u2019s man. I liked him for that. But he didn\u2019t, as far as I\u2019m concerned, treat women very well\u2026 Since he became president, he became another guy.
