Constable Jamal Din and driver Zahid were killed on the spot.<\/p>\n<p>The assailants escaped the scene before authorities arrived. The bodies were later moved to a nearby hospital.<\/p>\n<p>In a press release from the PM Office Media Wing, Shehbaz offered prayers for the martyred officers and conveyed heartfelt condolences to their families.<\/p>\n<p>He ordered a thorough investigation into the attack and instructed authorities to bring the culprits to justice with \u201cexemplary punishment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will continue our fight against terrorism until this menace is completely eradicated from the country,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>The prime minister also praised the police force for its persistent efforts to protect the homeland.<\/p>\n<p>Read: PM directs finalising industrial policy<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are proud of our police officers who are foiling the nefarious designs of terrorists against our beloved country,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, Interior Minister Naqvi also paid tribute to the fallen officers Jamaluddin and Zahid who lost their lives in the line of duty.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe stand shoulder to shoulder with the grieving families,\u201d the minister said, expressing deep sympathy and condolences.<\/p>\n<p>Naqvi noted that the officers had achieved \u201cthe highest rank of sacrifice\u201d and said their bravery and service would be remembered forever.<\/p>\n<p>He lauded the role of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Police, calling them \u201cbrave sons\u201d who had made countless sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral prayers for the slain officers were held at Police Line Shah Mansoor, attended by senior police officials and local authorities.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday strongly condemned a deadly attack on police personnel in Swabi, which claimed the lives of two officers.
