And that\u2019s why I have nothing really to add ever,&#8221; Verstappen said. &#8220;But yeah, it\u2019s time to stop all the rumours. For me, it\u2019s always been quite clear that I was staying anyway.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Verstappen&#8217;s statement clarifies that the uncertainty surrounding his future had been overstated.<\/p>\n<p>The Dutch driver explained that the Red Bull team was always confident in his commitment, as discussions regarding car improvements and future plans continued throughout the season.<\/p>\n<p>While this confirmation eliminates any further speculation about Verstappen&#8217;s move, it also impacts the dynamics at Mercedes.<\/p>\n<p>With Verstappen staying at Red Bull, drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli at Mercedes are expected to remain in place for the upcoming season.<\/p>\n<p>Russell, who had anticipated Verstappen\u2019s decision, expressed that he is &#8220;not in a hurry&#8221; to sign a new contract with Mercedes but highlighted the importance of a solid agreement with the team.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Whenever we come to an agreement we will get it done but it has to work for both of us,&#8221; Russell explained.
