Both Kingston, born Kisean Anderson, and Turner have pleaded not guilty to the charges.<\/p>\n<p>The charges against them include one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and five counts of wire fraud, in addition to separate state-level charges. Prosecutors assert that the fraudulent activities occurred between October 2023 and March 2024, resulting in nearly $500,000 in stolen jewelry, over $200,000 from Bank of America, $160,000 from an Escalade dealership, more than $100,000 from First Republic Bank, and $86,000 from a luxury bed manufacturer.<\/p>\n<p>Kingston, a well-known singer, was arrested in May 2023 at Fort Irwin, a U.S. Army base in California, while performing. He waived extradition and was brought back to Florida for trial. Turner was arrested on the same day during a police raid at a mansion in Southwest Ranches, which her son had been renting. At the time, Kingston was already on probation for trafficking in stolen property.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate legal matter, Kingston was sued by Ver Ver Entertainment for allegedly failing to pay the full $150,000 cost of a custom entertainment system. The company claims Kingston only paid a partial deposit and misled them about his relationship with Justin Bieber to secure a lower upfront cost, which was never followed by the promised promotional content. After unsuccessful attempts to collect the remaining balance, Ver Ver filed a lawsuit in February 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Kingston\u2019s legal history includes several lawsuits involving unpaid jewelry, one of which involves over $1 million in luxury watches. In 2021, he faced accusations of assaulting a music video producer and threatening him with a gun, claims he denied. In 2020, a grand theft warrant was issued in connection with another jewelry case. Kingston\u2019s issues with jewelers reportedly date back to 2015, with claims involving unpaid watches valued at over $350,000.<\/p>\n<p>Turner also has a criminal past.
