{"id":18831,"date":"2025-09-11T12:04:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T12:04:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=18831"},"modified":"2025-09-11T12:04:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T12:04:07","slug":"president-pm-pay-homage-to-quaid-on-77th-death-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=18831","title":{"rendered":"President, PM pay homage to Quaid on 77th death anniversary"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday hailed Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah\u2019s \u201cunparalleled leadership and selfless struggle\u201d in securing dignity and independence for Pakistanis.<\/p>\n<p>On his 77th death anniversary, the day was observed with prayers, tributes, and a renewed pledge to uphold his principles of unity, faith, and discipline.<\/p>\n<p>Ceremonies were held across Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), where social and civil society forums recalled Jinnah\u2019s leadership in uniting Muslims of the subcontinent under the All-India Muslim League and securing a separate homeland.<\/p>\n<p>The Government of Pakistan\u2019s official X handle also shared a tribute, recalling Jinnah\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n<p>The nation pays rich tribute to the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on his 76th death anniversary with due solemnity and reverence. pic.twitter.com\/wRKE0PLUnO<br \/>\n\u2014 Government of Pakistan (@GovtofPakistan) September 11, 2024<\/p>\n<p>Read: Jinnah&#8217;s Pakistan: An inclusive one<\/p>\n<p>Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani called Jinnah \u201ca symbol of integrity, justice, and the rule of law,\u201d stressing that democratic institutions and the people\u2019s unity were the real strength to realise his dream.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery citizen, irrespective of religion, caste, or creed, must enjoy equal rights and opportunities \u2014 this was Jinnah\u2019s belief and must remain our compass,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The day began in Karachi with Quran Khawani and Fateha at the Quaid\u2019s mausoleum, attended by political leaders, officials, and citizens from all walks of life.<\/p>\n<p>Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar said Jinnah\u2019s message of unity and resilience remained a guiding light for the nation. \u201cPakistan is the result of Quaid-e-Azam\u2019s dream and sacrifices, which all of us must safeguard,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon linked Jinnah\u2019s values of collective effort to present-day challenges following the recent rains and urban flooding. \u201cThis is a national emergency which cannot be dealt with by the government alone; public cooperation is extremely necessary,\u201d he said while updating on flood relief efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab also addressed the media on the occasion, pledging that development work halted by the rains would resume this Sunday. \u201cIf all stakeholders perform their role with sincerity, the city can move forward in the spirit of unity, faith, and discipline,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n<p>Read More: Over 400 rescued as rains flood Karachi, death toll rises to four<\/p>\n<p>Public and private institutions, along with cultural bodies, organised seminars and talks highlighting Jinnah\u2019s statesmanship and political struggle.<\/p>\n<p>Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television aired special programmes revisiting his life and legacy.<\/p>\n<p>Across the country, speakers echoed the same message: Jinnah\u2019s vision of justice, sacrifice, and discipline remains the nation\u2019s strongest roadmap in navigating today\u2019s crises.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday hailed Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah\u2019s \u201cunparalleled leadership and selfless struggle\u201d in securing dignity and independence for Pakistanis.
