{"id":19002,"date":"2025-09-13T12:04:16","date_gmt":"2025-09-13T12:04:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=19002"},"modified":"2025-09-13T12:04:16","modified_gmt":"2025-09-13T12:04:16","slug":"35-terrorists-killed-12-soldiers-martyred-in-k-p-ibos-ispr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=19002","title":{"rendered":"35 terrorists killed, 12 soldiers martyred in K-P IBOs: ISPR"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Twelve soldiers were martyred and 35 terrorists linked to the Indian-sponsored Fitna al Khwarij network were killed in two separate intelligence-based operations conducted in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa between 10 and 13 September, the military\u2019s media wing reported on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation took place in Bajaur district following reports of terrorist presence. \u201cOwn troops effectively engaged the location, and after an intense exchange of fire, 22 militants were killed,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate encounter in South Waziristan district, 13 more terrorists were \u201cneutralised\u201d by security forces. The army confirmed that 12 personnel \u201cfought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat (martyrdom).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read More: 14 TTP terrorists neutralised in K-P operations<\/p>\n<p>Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the terrorists, who, the military said, had been involved in multiple attacks in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The ISPR added that intelligence reports indicated the physical involvement of Afghan nationals in recent attacks, stressing that \u201cthe use of Afghan soil against Pakistan by terrorists remains a grave concern.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPakistan expects the interim Afghan government to uphold its responsibilities and deny the use of its soil for terrorist activities against Pakistan,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>The military said sanitisation operations were under way to eliminate remaining terrorists, vowing that the armed forces were \u201cdetermined to wipe out the menace of terrorism\u201d and that the sacrifices of soldiers \u201cfurther strengthen our resolve.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari expressed grief over the loss of 12 soldiers and said their sacrifice would not go in vain. \u201cThe blood of our martyrs further strengthens the nation\u2019s resolve to eradicate terrorism,\u201d he said, urging Kabul to \u201censure that Afghan soil is not used against Pakistan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for eliminating 35 terrorists in Bajaur and South Waziristan, while paying tribute to the 12 soldiers who embraced martyrdom during the operations.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, the premier lauded the troops\u2019 bravery, prayed for the elevation of the martyrs\u2019 ranks, and extended condolences to their families. He said the entire nation saluted the security forces who continued to stand like a rock in the fight against terrorism, reiterating his government\u2019s resolve to eradicate militancy in all its forms.<\/p>\n<p>Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi lauded the security forces for foiling terrorists\u2019 designs through \u201ctimely and professional action.\u201d He saluted the personnel who \u201cbrought the Khawarij terrorists to their shameful end\u201d and said the sacrifices of the martyrs were a testament to Pakistan\u2019s unwavering resolve.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also commended the security forces for their successful operations in South Waziristan, hailing the elimination of 35 militants as a major achievement. She paid homage to the 12 soldiers who laid down their lives, saying they had \u201cpaid the price of peace with their blood.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Governor Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi paid tribute to the security forces\u2019 bravery.
