The Khans of Bollywood \u2014\u00a0Aamir, Salman, and Shah Rukh -\u2014 have long been considered the reigning stars of Bollywood. However, Aamir Khan recently shared a humbling perspective on their legacy, asserting that the trio is not the “last of the stars.”<\/p>\n

In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Aamir dismissed the idea of irreplaceable stardom. “Every generation is better than the previous generation. They have our experience. This generation and the coming generation will become equally big stars,” he explained. Rejecting the notion that the Khans signify the end of Bollywood’s superstar era, Aamir added, “But I don’t think there won’t be any stars after us. There’s nothing like we are the last of the stars. Many will come after us.”<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the impermanence of fame, the actor shared a candid realisation: “We won’t even be counted anymore. People will forget us. Time moves forward. That is the way of the world.” Invoking the cosmic cycle of creation and destruction, he said, “Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh ensure destruction happens, and then you forget everything.”<\/p>\n

Aamir also revealed that he, Salman, and Shah Rukh have discussed working on a film together. “We are waiting for the right script,” he said, joking that even if the film isn’t great, fans would still cherish seeing all three Khans on screen.<\/p>\n

While Aamir’s stardom may be aging with time, it appears that his charm isn’t. The 3 Idiots actor recently publicly introduced his new girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, 47, with whom the actor had been friends for the past 25 years. On Wednesday, during a press conference, when asked about Aamir’s ladylove, Salman ppeared amused and feigned surprise, saying, “I just learned about her.” When questioned if he also has a “Gauri” in his life, the Kick actor quipped, “There are women with other names, too,” leaving the audience laughing at his characteristic wit.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Aamir celebrated his 60th birthday with a grand celebration at his Mumbai residence. During a meet-and-greet session on the occasion, Aamir playfully remarked, “Shah Rukh has a Gauri, I have one now. Now Salman should also find a Gauri,” sparking lighthearted banter.<\/p>\n

On the professional front, Aamir is gearing up for Sitaare Zameen Par, a sequel to his 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par. Meanwhile, Salman’s Sikandar, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, is slated for Eidul Fitr release, and Shah Rukh will next star in Sujoy Ghosh’s King.<\/p>\n
