The federal government has increased the price of petrol by Rs2.10 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by 30 paise for three days, effective from October 3 to 5, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under the revised rates, petrol will cost Rs392.76 per litre, up from Rs390.66, while diesel will be priced at Rs399.64, compared with Rs399.34 previously.<\/p>\n

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices under the government\u2019s petroleum pricing mechanism, according to an announcement by the Petroleum Division.<\/p>\n

The division said the revision was linked to international market rates and reflected changes in Platts rates, premiums and other incidentals.<\/p>\n

The latest increase follows Thursday\u2019s revision, when petrol was raised by Rs3.26 per litre while the diesel price was reduced by Rs1.01.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Global oil prices fall<\/h3>\n

The latest domestic price revision comes as international oil prices declined sharply on Friday.<\/p>\n

Brent crude fell $3.06, or 3%, to $99.25 a barrel at 1409 GMT, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) dropped $3.95, or 4.25%, to $88.92 a barrel.<\/p>\n

Both benchmarks were headed for weekly declines, with Brent down about 4.7% for the week and WTI around 3.7% lower.<\/p>\n

European gasoil futures, a benchmark for diesel prices, also fell about 4.3% to $1,386.75 per metric ton.<\/p>\n

The decline followed reports of talks in Europe on additional releases of diesel and crude stocks, easing concerns over tight global energy supplies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
