{"id":2289,"date":"2026-10-07T23:03:43","date_gmt":"2026-10-07T18:03:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=2289"},"modified":"2026-10-07T23:03:43","modified_gmt":"2026-10-07T18:03:43","slug":"pakistani-troops-in-saudi-arabia-for-decades-says-dg-ispr-in-cnn-interview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=2289","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Pakistani troops in Saudi Arabia for decades,\u2019 says DG ISPR in CNN interview"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>Pakistani troops have been deployed in Saudi Arabia for decades as part of longstanding defence ties between the two countries, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said in an interview with CNN.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ISPR said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia had maintained defence relations for several decades.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPakistani troops, possessing capabilities across multiple domains, are already deployed in Saudi Arabia,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The DG ISPR said the Makkah Alliance was not something that had emerged \u201cin a vacuum.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye had maintained sustained diplomatic, political, military and people-to-people relations, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye signed the Makkah Agreement on Aug. 7, which was subsequently designated the Makkah Defence Alliance.
