{"id":2376,"date":"2026-10-09T12:03:45","date_gmt":"2026-10-09T07:03:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=2376"},"modified":"2026-10-09T12:03:45","modified_gmt":"2026-10-09T07:03:45","slug":"us-seizes-seven-domains-linked-to-chinese-hacking-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=2376","title":{"rendered":"US Seizes Seven Domains Linked to Chinese Hacking Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>US officials say they are seizing seven internet domains in a new effort to disrupt \u200bhackers working with Chinese IT firm Integrity \u200bTechnology Group.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link--external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/opa\/pr\/justice-department-and-fbi-seize-vulnerability-scanning-and-spear-phishing-tools-operated\">In a statement issued on Thursday<\/a>, \u2060the Justice Department said the domains were \u200bbeing used to help Chinese hackers scan \u200band hack US and foreign critical infrastructure systems.<\/p>\n<p>The department said the move was the second public effort to \u200bdisrupt Integrity Tech\u2019s hacking infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>In September \u200b2024, the department announced the <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link--external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/technology\/cybersecurity\/us-fbi-says-it-has-struck-second-chinese-hacking-group-2024-09-18\/\">court-authorised disruption<\/a> of an Integrity \u200cTech \u2060botnet consisting of more than 250,000 compromised consumer devices in the United States and across the world.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, then-FBI Director Christopher \u200bWray said \u200bthat Integrity \u2060Tech was behind a major Chinese hacking group nicknamed \u201cFlax Typhoon\u201d and \u200bwas carrying out intelligence collection and \u200breconnaissance \u2060functions for Beijing\u2019s security agencies.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese Embassy in Washington did not immediately return a message seeking \u2060comment \u200bafter business hours on \u200bThursday.
