President Donald \u200bTrump this week said he planned to talk to Russian \u2060President Vladimir Putin by phone soon.<\/p>\n<p>Trump, whose efforts to resolve the conflict \u200bhave so far not succeeded, has been trying to arrange trilateral talks \u200bbetween Russia, the US and Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>The source said Witkoff and Kushner would hold a working session with the Ukrainians to discuss \u201cnew ideas and proposals that American negotiators began developing \u200bwith the Russians and Ukrainians during their recent visit to the \u200bregion\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will include representatives from the White House National Security Council and US Treasury \u200cDepartment, \u2060the source said. Ukraine\u2019s chief of staff Kyrylo Budanov, intelligence chief Rustem Umerov, and top negotiator David Arakhamia will represent Kyiv.<\/p>\n<p>The American negotiators also invited national security advisors from the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, as well \u200bas officials from NATO \u200band the \u2060European Union.<\/p>\n<p>They are expected to discuss proposals for security guarantees for Ukraine, a post-war prosperity plan, and other aspects \u200bof the conflict, the source said.<\/p>\n<p>The source said the \u200bEuropeans had \u2060told the United States of their frustration with high energy costs and other major financial impacts of the conflict.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will be a tough winter if \u2060the \u200bwar does not stop.
