{"id":2505,"date":"2026-10-11T15:03:44","date_gmt":"2026-10-11T10:03:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=2505"},"modified":"2026-10-11T15:03:44","modified_gmt":"2026-10-11T10:03:44","slug":"major-bureaucratic-reshuffle-in-kp-after-governors-rule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=2505","title":{"rendered":"Major bureaucratic reshuffle in KP after governor\u2019s rule"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>The federal government has ordered major administrative changes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s bureaucracy following the imposition of emergency and governor\u2019s rule, transferring senior officers out of the province and directing them to report to the Establishment Division.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to notifications issued by the federal government on Sunday, the changes have been made to bring constitutional and administrative affairs under interim control and ensure the implementation of new administrative priorities in the province.<\/p>\n<p>The transferred officers include Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, a grade-21 PAS officer, who has been asked to report to the Establishment Division with immediate effect until further orders.<\/p>\n<p>Other senior officers ordered to report to the Establishment Division include grade-21 officers Ikramullah and Ambar Ali Khan; grade-20 officers Shahidullah and Sohail Khan; and grade-19 officers Shah Fahad, Mian Adil Iqbal, Muhammad Usman, Sarmad Saleem Akram and Shafiullah Khan.<\/p>\n<p>The reshuffle also includes the transfer out of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of Zubair Khan, Waqar Ali, Sanaullah Khan, Muhammad Ihteshamul Haq and Muhammad Faheem, all listed as grade-18 officers in the notification.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the federal government has issued a notification placing the services of senior PAS officer Yahya Akhunzada, a grade-20 officer, at the disposal of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.<\/p>\n<p>He is expected to assume new administrative responsibilities in the province and will remain in the assignment until further orders.<\/p>\n<p>Akhunzada, who hails from Charsadda district, was previously serving as additional secretary at the Prime Minister\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>He has also held several key positions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including secretary health, secretary information, secretary education, commissioner of Dera Ismail Khan and additional political agent in South and North Waziristan.<\/p>\n<p>The administrative reshuffle follows President Asif Ali Zardari\u2019s formal proclamation of emergency and governor\u2019s rule in the province under Articles 232(1) and 234(1) of the Constitution.<\/p>\n<p>Under the presidential proclamation, the chief minister, provincial ministers, advisers and special assistants have ceased to hold their offices, while provincial administrative affairs are being overseen by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the federal government appointed grade-22 officer Dr Muhammad Fakhr Alam Irfan as the province\u2019s new chief secretary.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The federal government has ordered major administrative changes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s bureaucracy following the imposition of emergency and governor\u2019s rule, transferring senior officers out of the province and directing them to report to the Establishment Division.
