{"id":2558,"date":"2026-10-12T14:04:05","date_gmt":"2026-10-12T09:04:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=2558"},"modified":"2026-10-12T14:04:05","modified_gmt":"2026-10-12T09:04:05","slug":"kp-removes-57-law-officers-after-imposition-of-governors-rule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=2558","title":{"rendered":"KP removes 57 law officers after imposition of governor\u2019s rule"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Law Department has removed 57 officers from the Advocate General\u2019s Office following the imposition of governor\u2019s rule and an emergency in the province.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to a notification issued by the department, the officers removed from their positions include 26 additional advocate generals and 31 assistant advocate generals.<\/p>\n<p>Four officers serving as advocates on record have also been removed.<\/p>\n<p>Additional Advocate General Shah Faisal Ilyas has also resigned in protest against the imposition of governor\u2019s rule and the emergency.<\/p>\n<p>In his resignation, Ilyas questioned the constitutional and legal validity of the measures, saying extraordinary steps could not be used to undermine provincial autonomy.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar said an 11-member advisory council had been formed under the new administrative arrangement to assist Governor Faisal Karim Kundi.<\/p>\n<p>A separate secretariat has also been established to oversee administrative affairs in 12 security-sensitive districts.<\/p>\n<p>It will operate under the supervision of the governor and the chief secretary.<\/p>\n<p>Yahya Akhunzada has been appointed additional chief secretary and administrator for the 12 sensitive districts, with his appointment taking effect immediately.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Law Department has removed 57 officers from the Advocate General\u2019s Office following the imposition of governor\u2019s rule and an emergency in the province.
