{"id":25616,"date":"2025-10-31T12:04:03","date_gmt":"2025-10-31T12:04:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=25616"},"modified":"2025-10-31T12:04:03","modified_gmt":"2025-10-31T12:04:03","slug":"samina-baig-inspires-aku-eb-high-achievers-in-gilgit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=25616","title":{"rendered":"Samina Baig inspires AKU-EB high achievers in Gilgit"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Renowned mountaineer Samina Baig, the first Pakistani woman to summit Mount Everest, addressed young learners at the Aga Khan University Examination Board\u2019s (AKU-EB) High Achievers Ceremony 2025 in Gilgit on Thursday, telling them that \u201cno mountain is too high and no dream too far.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Ceremony, which began in Karachi and continued in Chitral, concluded in Gilgit, symbolically tracing a journey of excellence across Pakistan\u2019s diverse regions.<\/p>\n<p>The event, held under the theme \u201cYou Are a Drop in the Ocean,\u201d celebrated the exceptional accomplishments of students from Gilgit-Baltistan and highlighted the Board\u2019s mission to promote learning that connects intellect with empathy and individual achievement with collective good.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery success begins with clarity of purpose \u2014 and you have the best institutions to help you define that purpose,\u201d Baig said, addressing the gathering as Chief Guest.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Dr Naveed Yousuf, Chief Executive Officer of AKU-EB, welcomed students, parents, and educators who lauded the achievements of the region\u2019s top performers. Since its inception in 2002, the Board has graduated more than 80,000 students under its SSC and HSSC qualifications, he noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou are the new chapter in AKU-EB\u2019s story \u2014 a story of fairness, innovation, and hope,\u201d Dr Yousuf said. \u201cWe envision an education system where assessments inspire discovery, schools become centres of innovation, and every AKU-EB graduate steps into the world not just ready to succeed, but ready to make a difference.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As Guest of Honour, Imtiaz Momin, Chief Executive Officer of the Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan (AKESP), reaffirmed AKESP\u2019s partnership with AKU-EB and announced that all AKESP schools will be affiliated with the Board within the next two years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEighty percent of AKESP schools already affiliated with AKU-EB achieve A+ results,\u201d he said. \u201cThis reflects AKU-EB\u2019s excellence in promoting critical thinking, rigorous assessment, and equitable opportunities for learners.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added that the year\u2019s theme, \u201cYou Are a Drop in the Ocean\u201d, carried a deeper message: that true success lies not only in academic excellence but also in collective responsibility toward society and the planet.<\/p>\n<p>High achiever Shuja, speaking on behalf of the students, echoed that sentiment with a call for climate action. \u201cEach of us is a drop, small but vital.
