{"id":2610,"date":"2025-04-03T18:01:52","date_gmt":"2025-04-03T18:01:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=2610"},"modified":"2025-04-03T18:01:52","modified_gmt":"2025-04-03T18:01:52","slug":"nepra-reduces-electricity-tariffs-by-rs3-02-per-unit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=2610","title":{"rendered":"NEPRA reduces electricity tariffs by Rs3.02 per unit"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Following Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif&#8217;s announcement of a reduction in electricity tariffs, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) issued a notification confirming the price cut as part of the quarterly adjustment,as consumers set to receive a relief of up to Rs3.02 per unit.<\/p>\n<p>The notification issued by NEPRA for the quarterly adjustment specifies that the price reduction will apply for the period from October to December 2024, Express News reported.<\/p>\n<p>The price reduction will take effect for all electricity distribution companies, including K-Electric, for three months, from April to June 2025, providing relief amounting to approximately Rs56.38 billion to consumers.<\/p>\n<p>However, the price reduction will not apply to lifeline and prepaid customers.
