Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda was hospitalised early Wednesday morning after collapsing at his Mumbai home, while fellow screen legend Dharmendra was discharged from hospital the same day following a brief illness.<\/p>\n

Indian media reported that Govinda fainted at his Juhu residence shortly after Tuesday midnight. His family rushed him to a private hospital around 1am after initial medication at home failed to improve his condition.<\/p>\n

The 61-year-old actor’s lawyer, Lalit Bindal, said that Govinda had taken prescribed medicine before feeling dizzy and collapsing, adding that he remained under medical observation overnight.<\/p>\n

Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, confirmed that doctors were reviewing his test results and monitoring his recovery. She told ANI that the actor was “conscious and stable” and that he had later been discharged on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

The incident came just days after Govinda visited his longtime colleague Dharmendra, who had been hospitalised at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai for breathing difficulties.<\/p>\n

False rumours of Dharmendra’s death circulated online earlier this week, prompting swift denials from his family. In a statement on Wednesday, Dharmendra’s family confirmed he had been discharged at 7:30am and was continuing recovery at home.<\/p>\n

Dharmendra’s doctor told PTI that his treatment and recovery would continue under home supervision, while his manager, Amit Tuli, urged restraint from speculation regarding the veteran’s health.<\/p>\n

Govinda, celebrated for his iconic roles in ‘Partner’, ‘Hero No. 1’, and ‘Raja Babu’, was previously hospitalised last year after accidentally shooting himself in the knee with a licensed revolver.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
