Ukraine has resumed its attacks on Russian refineries with a strike \u200cat an installation in the Ryazan region, the regional governor said on Thursday, after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy voiced his anger at a \u201cdangerous\u201d withdrawal of US intelligence.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since US President Donald Trump\u2019s surprise announcement of an energy ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine on Sunday, Kyiv had refrained from attacking Russian refineries, \u200bwhich the US leader had blamed for raising diesel prices on global markets.<\/p>\n

But Zelenskiy had voiced increasing frustration with \u200bRussia\u2019s continued attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, which he said on Wednesday had left 600,000 people without \u2060power.<\/p>\n

He warned that Ukraine would not suspend its own attacks indefinitely if Russia did not reciprocate and also criticised what \u200bhe said was Trump\u2019s favouritism toward Russia.<\/p>\n

In an interview with the Financial Times published on Thursday, he said Ukraine\u2019s patience had run \u200bout.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe block (on attacking refineries) is out. We\u2019re done,\u201d he told the newspaper.<\/p>\n

Pavel Malkov, the governor of Ryazan, said in a post on Telegram that a major Ukrainian drone attack<\/a> on the region had sparked a fire at an oil refinery.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe material damage is now being assessed. Emergency services are working \u200bat the scene,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In his interview, Zelenskiy criticised Washington\u2019s eagerness to strike business deals with Moscow and Trump\u2019s apparent admiration for \u200bRussia\u2019s Vladimir Putin.<\/p>\n

Trump on Saturday called for<\/a> Ukraine to replace Zelenskiy and railed against Ukraine\u2019s attacks on Russian oil infrastructure, one day after announcing a \u200cdiesel \u2060supply deal with Russia, aiming to lower fuel prices that have soared since the US-Israeli war with Iran began in February.<\/p>\n

Despite Ukraine\u2019s suspension of refinery attacks, Ukrainian officials complained that they had not received any US early-warning alerts in recent days for incoming Russian ballistic missiles.<\/p>\n

They also said the military version of Elon Musk\u2019s Starlink satellite communications service<\/a> had been slowed across the country, hampering frontline operations \u200band medium-range strikes against Russian military \u200bsites.<\/p>\n

Musk said on Wednesday \u2060in a post on X that Starshield – the military version of Starlink – was owned and controlled by the US government, which decided on any speed limits.<\/p>\n

Zelenskiy has said that Ukrainian military officials \u200bwere warned by their US counterparts that Washington would block intelligence unless they halted strikes \u200bon Russian energy infrastructure.<\/p>\n

In \u2060the FT interview, Zelenskiy said the suspension was presented to Kyiv as a technical glitch, but he dismissed the idea that failures of the Starlink satellite system might have been caused by a fault.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was not a technical problem, it was the will,\u201d he told \u2060the FT.<\/p>\n
