{"id":2855,"date":"2026-10-17T19:04:12","date_gmt":"2026-10-17T14:04:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=2855"},"modified":"2026-10-17T19:04:12","modified_gmt":"2026-10-17T14:04:12","slug":"unconditional-talks-possible-with-pti-but-emergency-rollback-not-negotiable-sanaullah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=2855","title":{"rendered":"Unconditional talks possible with PTI, but emergency rollback not negotiable: Sanaullah"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>Prime Minister\u2019s Adviser Rana Sanaullah has said the government is willing to hold unconditional talks with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), but will not accept a demand to withdraw the emergency measures.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He also made it clear that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and opposition leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai would meet at the Prime Minister\u2019s House, rejecting any condition that the meeting be held at a third location.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Sanaullah said the Prime Minister\u2019s House was state property, not the personal property of any individual. He said the government would not accept what he described as an insistence on changing the venue, adding that similar demands had been made in the past.<\/p>\n<p>He urged Achakzai to say when he would come to meet the prime minister, saying the government was ready to welcome him.<\/p>\n<p>Sanaullah said the prime minister had written two letters to the opposition leader regarding the appointment of the chief election commissioner and members of the Election Commission of Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>According to the adviser, one letter was sent before PM Shehbaz departed for the United States, while the second was dispatched after his return. The government is now awaiting Achakzai\u2019s response, he added.<\/p>\n<p>On talks with PTI, Sanaullah said negotiations could take place without preconditions, but the government would not negotiate on withdrawing the emergency measures.
