Turki Al Maliki later confirmed that a drone had also been intercepted over the Riyadh region, <em>Arab News<\/em> said in a report.<\/p>\n<p>The announcements followed emergency mobile phone alerts issued by the General Directorate of Civil Defence at around 1.30am local time, warning residents of a hostile aerial threat.
