Team Cherry have confirmed that new content for ‘Hollow Knight: Silksong’ is already in development, following the game’s strong commercial and critical reception.<\/p>\n

‘Silksong’ launched to rapid success, selling millions within days and surpassing five million players shortly after release. It held a low-90s Metacritic average, earned high user scores and drew more than half a million concurrent players on Steam.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Bloomberg, Team Cherry’s Ari Gibson and William Pellen said they were working on fresh additions to the game. They did not offer a timeline for future updates.<\/p>\n

Gibson said they were “looking at what else can we do, what else can be brought to the experience and how that world can expand”. He added that the team were “pursuing the things that excite us”, noting that updates could range from smaller additions to expansions similar in scale to Godmaster.<\/p>\n

Gibson acknowledged the long development cycle that preceded the game’s release, saying they “didn’t plan seven years” but remained committed to an approach that evolves organically.<\/p>\n

Pellen said they had begun “making new stuff and working on bits and pieces”, adding that players could expect more frequent communication now that the studio had concrete material to share.<\/p>\n

The long-discussed Steel Assassin Sharpe was mentioned as a character they “were excited to reintroduce”, alongside other ideas that were cut or reworked during development.<\/p>\n

The interview also touched on the studio’s plans beyond ‘Silksong’. Gibson said they intended to explore concepts outside the ‘Hollow Knight’ setting, describing potential new worlds with large spaces, unusual characters and giant bosses.<\/p>\n

He noted that the team were not finished with ‘Hollow Knight’, but hoped to explore different genres and themes before returning to Pharloom.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
