{"id":2989,"date":"2026-10-20T11:03:43","date_gmt":"2026-10-20T06:03:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=2989"},"modified":"2026-10-20T11:03:43","modified_gmt":"2026-10-20T06:03:43","slug":"pakistan-tajikistan-agree-to-boost-cooperation-in-key-sectors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=2989","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan, Tajikistan agree to boost cooperation in key sectors"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>Pakistan and Tajikistan have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, energy, connectivity and defence, among other sectors.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The understanding was reached during a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Tajik Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzoda in Dushanbe, according to an official statement.<\/p>\n<p>Dar is visiting Tajikistan to lead Pakistan\u2019s delegation to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of Government (CHG) meeting.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting with the Tajik prime minister, Dar reiterated Pakistan\u2019s commitment to working closely with Tajikistan to promote regional peace and deeper economic integration.<\/p>\n<p>He also congratulated the country on the 35th anniversary of its independence.<\/p>\n<p>The two sides reviewed bilateral relations and expressed their resolve to expand cooperation in trade, investment, energy, connectivity, defence and culture, while promoting people-to-people exchanges.<\/p>\n<p>The two leaders also discussed recent regional developments and stressed the importance of joint efforts to address climate change and water security.<\/p>\n<p>Highlighting Islamabad\u2019s expertise in disaster management, Dar highlighted the potential for cooperation through Pakistan\u2019s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).<\/p>\n<p>He thanked Rasulzoda for the warm hospitality extended to him and his delegation and appreciated the arrangements for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of Government meeting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pakistan and Tajikistan have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, energy, connectivity and defence, among other sectors.
