Iran has said that there would be no talks with Washington until Tehran\u2019s \u200bdemands were met, Iranian media reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The remarks were made during a meeting between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Pakistan\u2019s army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir in Tehran, according to Nournews.<\/p>\n

The statements underscored Iran\u2019s hardening stance despite \u200cmediation efforts by key interlocutor Pakistan.**<\/p>\n

Field Marshal Asim Munir also met \u200bIranian parliament speaker Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, who said Washington could not regain Tehran\u2019s \u200btrust until it fulfilled seven conditions<\/a> Iran set last month for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, according to an Iranian readout of the meeting.<\/p>\n

The demands include ending a US \u200bblockade on its ports, the lifting of sanctions on its oil exports, \u200bas well as ending hostilities on all regional fronts.<\/p>\n

Iran\u2019s security chief, Mohsen Rezaei, \u200cdelivered a similar \u2060message during a separate meeting with Field Marshal Asim Munir, saying there would be no talks<\/a> with Washington until Tehran\u2019s demands were met, according to Iranian media.<\/p>\n

Rezaei also said all enriched nuclear materials would remain in Iran, reiterating Supreme Leader \u200bAyatollah Mojtaba Khamenei\u2019s position<\/a> \u200bthat near-weapons-grade uranium \u2060should not be shipped abroad.<\/p>\n

US Vice President JD Vance said earlier this month<\/a> that Iran must make a \u201cmeaningful\u201d reduction \u200bin its uranium enrichment capacity to satisfy US demands and \u200bend \u2060the countries\u2019 eight-month-old war.<\/p>\n

Israel, the United States and other Western states have long accused Iran of seeking nuclear weapons, including pointing to its move to \u2060enrich uranium \u200bto 60%, far higher than needed for \u200bcivilian uses and closer to the 90% needed for a weapon.<\/p>\n
