They also accused the couple of burning the child with a heated iron rod.<\/p>\n<p>In her statement, Iman said the accused continued beating her despite her repeated pleas for mercy. She said neighbours intervened to rescue her and informed the police.<\/p>\n<p>The girl further claimed that police personnel took her to a hospital but left her there.<\/p>\n<p>Iman\u2019s mother alleged that the accused threatened the girl\u2019s father and forced him to place his thumbprints on stamp paper.<\/p>\n<p>The parents said police had registered a case over the alleged torture but had not included legal provisions relating to the fracture of their daughter\u2019s arm.
