{"id":3132,"date":"2026-10-22T19:04:11","date_gmt":"2026-10-22T14:04:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=3132"},"modified":"2026-10-22T19:04:11","modified_gmt":"2026-10-22T14:04:11","slug":"pm-announces-rs160bn-package-for-kp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=3132","title":{"rendered":"PM announces Rs160bn package for KP"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a Rs160 billion package for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u00a0(KP), with 70% of the funds allocated to the province\u2019s merged districts and the remaining 30% earmarked for other districts, KP Information Adviser Samar Bilour said on Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the media in Peshawar after a meeting of the National Action Plan\u2019s apex committee chaired by the prime minister, Bilour said the meeting also discussed the challenges facing the country and the future course of action.<\/p>\n<p>She said Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, discussed the issues confronting Pakistan during the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Bilour added that problems faced by the provincial police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) would be addressed on a priority basis.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting reviewed the province\u2019s law and order situation and security arrangements, with participants discussing measures to eliminate terrorism and improve the capacity of law enforcement agencies.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was attended by senior civil and military officials, including the field marshal, federal ministers, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and officials from law enforcement agencies.<\/p>\n<p>The prime minister has reiterated the federal government\u2019s commitment to supporting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in tackling terrorism and addressing the province\u2019s development needs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a Rs160 billion package for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u00a0(KP), with 70% of the funds allocated to the province\u2019s merged districts and the remaining 30% earmarked for other districts, KP Information Adviser Samar Bilour said on Thursday.
