The ceremony featured a symbolic release of white doves and a sea of mourners dressed in green, a color that had become closely associated with Scooter. His son paid tribute by wearing a custom chain in memory of his father.<\/p>\n<p>A public viewing was also held at Donald Trimble Mortuary in Decatur, where local community members came to offer their respects.<\/p>\n<p>Scooter died on March 28 after sustaining a fatal injury while attempting to flee from Atlanta police. The incident began when authorities responded to a 911 call reporting gunfire at a residence. Upon arrival, Scooter attempted to escape, clearing two fences before injuring himself on a third. He suffered a severe puncture wound to his right thigh from a wooden fence, causing fatal blood loss.
