{"id":3263,"date":"2026-10-25T10:05:10","date_gmt":"2026-10-25T05:05:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=3263"},"modified":"2026-10-25T10:05:10","modified_gmt":"2026-10-25T05:05:10","slug":"iran-warns-us-of-several-times-greater-response-to-any-attack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=3263","title":{"rendered":"Iran warns US of \u2018several times greater\u2019 response to any attack"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that any limited military action against the country would trigger a response \u201cseveral times greater\u201d, saying its armed forces were prepared to retaliate.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohebbi dismissed what he described as hostile rhetoric, saying those issuing threats lacked the ability to carry out an effective operation under the current circumstances, the Fars news agency reported on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey know better than anyone that, under the current circumstances, they cannot conduct an effective operation and certainly will not achieve their objectives,\u201d Mohebbi said.<\/p>\n<p>He warned that any repeat of previous military action would end in defeat, adding that Iran\u2019s armed forces were prepared to respond with greater force.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven if the enemy makes a limited move, Iran\u2019s response will be several times greater, given the armed forces\u2019 existing readiness and operational plans,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The warning came after US Ambassador to T\u00fcrkiye Tom Barrack said Washington could \u201cabsolutely\u201d strike Iran as soon as this weekend, while US President Donald Trump said he was unaware of the possibility raised by his envoy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCould there be a strike this weekend? Absolutely,\u201d Barrack said in an interview, clips of which circulated online on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>He also serves as the US special presidential envoy for Syria and Iraq.<\/p>\n<p>Asked about Barrack\u2019s remarks and whether he had changed his position on delaying possible strikes until after the November 3 midterm elections, Trump appeared surprised.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat was my ambassador?\u201d Trump asked, adding: \u201cHe\u2019s a pretty powerful man, I guess.
