{"id":35702,"date":"2026-01-12T15:05:31","date_gmt":"2026-01-12T15:05:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=35702"},"modified":"2026-01-12T15:05:31","modified_gmt":"2026-01-12T15:05:31","slug":"ptf-announces-davis-cup-training-camp-ahead-of-senegal-tie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=35702","title":{"rendered":"PTF announces Davis Cup training camp ahead of Senegal tie"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) is pleased to announce that the Davis Cup Training Camp is being organized in preparation for the upcoming Davis Cup tie between Pakistan and Senegal, scheduled to be held on 6th and 7th February 2026 at the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.<\/p>\n<p>The training camp will take place at the Defence Club Grass Courts, Lahore, from 12th to 24th January 2026. Pakistan\u2019s top men\u2019s and junior players are invited for the camp.<\/p>\n<p>The following players will take part in the training camp:<br \/>\nAisam-ul-Haq Qureshi<br \/>\nAqeel Khan<br \/>\nMuzammil Murtaza<br \/>\nMuhammad Shoaib<br \/>\nYousaf Khalil<br \/>\nBarkatullah<br \/>\nHuzaifa Abdul Rehman<br \/>\nAhmad Nael Qureshi<br \/>\nMikaeel Ali Baig<br \/>\nAbubakar Talha<br \/>\nNadir Mirza<br \/>\nAhtesham Humayun<br \/>\nZohaib Afzal Malik<\/p>\n<p>The top junior players residing in Islamabad are also invited to join the camp from 25th January 2026 onwards, once the training camp shifts from Lahore to Islamabad:<\/p>\n<p>Hamza Roman<br \/>\nHassan Usmani<br \/>\nAbdul Basit<br \/>\nHaziq Asim<\/p>\n<p>The training camp is being organized under the supervision of Mr. Rashid Malik (Captain), with Mr. Mushaf Zia, Mr. Muhammad Khalid, and Mr. Shahzad Khan serving as coaches.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, President-PTF, said, This training camp is an important step in building a strong and competitive national team for the forthcoming Davis Cup tie against Senegal. After the conclusion of the camp, the final team will be announced. We have also invited top junior players to train alongside senior players so they can gain valuable experience and which will work for them in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Col. Zia-ud-Din Tufail, Secretary General \u2013 PTF, said, The training camp is scheduled on the Lahore grass courts, and we are confident that the players will prepare well.
