{"id":35961,"date":"2026-01-14T09:05:59","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T09:05:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=35961"},"modified":"2026-01-14T09:05:59","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T09:05:59","slug":"ihc-orders-practice-and-procedure-rules-made-public-in-48-hours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=35961","title":{"rendered":"IHC orders Practice and Procedure Rules made public in 48 hours"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Islamabad High Court Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani on Wednesday ordered that the High Court\u2019s Practice and Procedure Rules be uploaded on the court\u2019s website within 48 hours and that copies be provided to the Islamabad High Court and district bar associations.<\/p>\n<p>The directive was issued during a case hearing when the court asked a lawyer about the Practice and Procedure Rules. The petitioner\u2019s lawyer said he was unaware of the details of the rules and was submitting an application to obtain them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe framed those High Court rules which we ourselves did not receive,\u201d Justice Kayani remarked. \u201cI am a judge and I did not receive them, how would you receive them?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The judge noted that although the full court had approved the rules, they had not been made public. \u201cThe Practice and Procedure Rules are a secret document,\u201d he observed.<\/p>\n<p>Read: IHC judge jokes about 27th Amendment<\/p>\n<p>Justice Kayani directed the lawyer to write to the registrar to obtain the rules.
