{"id":3745,"date":"2026-11-03T17:04:24","date_gmt":"2026-11-03T12:04:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=3745"},"modified":"2026-11-03T17:04:24","modified_gmt":"2026-11-03T12:04:24","slug":"barrister-gohar-calls-for-dialogue-to-ease-political-tensions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=3745","title":{"rendered":"Barrister Gohar calls for dialogue to ease political tensions"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has called for dialogue to resolve political issues, warning that tensions should not be allowed to escalate further.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the media at the Peshawar High Court on Tuesday, Gohar also criticised what he described as the government\u2019s failure to implement a court order allowing a meeting with party founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.<\/p>\n<p>Referring to the detention of former chief minister Sohail Afridi and the former KP Assembly speaker, Gohar welcomed the decision to refer the matter to the high court\u2019s chief justice for the formation of a larger bench, saying court rulings should apply equally to everyone.<\/p>\n<p>He said the party had sought a meeting with Imran Khan and access to medical treatment for him, but the court\u2019s order in this regard had not been implemented.<\/p>\n<p>Gohar called for an end to what he described as political victimisation and demanded the release of Imran Khan\u2019s sisters and PTI lawmakers.<\/p>\n<p>He said Imran Khan had met his lawyer, Salman Safdar, on Monday and discussed matters relating to his cases, adding that the issue could have been avoided had the meeting taken place earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Criticising remarks made by PTI leader Barrister Saif, Gohar said he had not expected him to make such statements.
