Mickey Rourke\u2019s time on Celebrity Big Brother UK was cut short after the actor was ejected from the show over what producers described as \u201cinappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 72-year-old\u2019s departure comes barely a week into the reality show\u2019s 24th season and shortly after he stirred controversy with remarks directed at fellow housemate, singer JoJo Siwa \u2014 comments she and others called out as homophobic.<\/p>\n

During Wednesday\u2019s episode, Rourke openly questioned Siwa\u2019s sexuality, asking, \u201cDo you like girls or boys?\u201d When Siwa replied that she\u2019s gay and has a partner, Rourke made a suggestive comment:<\/p>\n

“If I stay longer than four days, you won\u2019t be gay anymore.”<\/p>\n

Siwa quickly shot back:<\/p>\n

“I can guarantee I will still be gay and I will still be in a very happy relationship.”<\/p>\n

Rourke didn\u2019t stop there. He added, \u201cI\u2019ll tie you up,\u201d a remark that drew immediate discomfort from the house.<\/p>\n

Later, Rourke was overheard telling other contestants, “I\u2019ll vote the lesbian out real quick,” prompting Siwa to respond bluntly: “That\u2019s homophobic.”<\/p>\n

Further controversy followed when Rourke, while gesturing toward Siwa, said, “I need a f–,” adding, “I\u2019m not talking to you,” and clarifying that he meant a cigarette.<\/p>\n

However, given the circumstances, the intent behind his words remained murky.<\/p>\n

Chris Hughes, a former Love Island star and fellow contestant, defended Siwa, calling Rourke out by saying, “You can\u2019t say that.” He also consoled Siwa when she broke down in tears after the exchange.<\/p>\n

Producers immediately addressed Rourke\u2019s behavior. He was summoned to the “diary room” where Big Brother formally warned him:<\/p>\n

“Mickey, Big Brother thinks your language was offensive and unacceptable.”<\/p>\n

Rourke acknowledged the warning and later apologized to Siwa, who accepted his apology.<\/p>\n

Despite the apology, tensions lingered.<\/p>\n

Siwa nominated Rourke for the show\u2019s first eviction, and the situation escalated again on Saturday.<\/p>\n

According to ITV, Rourke engaged in a heated disagreement with Chris Hughes during one of the show’s group tasks.<\/p>\n

Although no physical altercation occurred, ITV said Rourke\u2019s behavior was considered \u201cthreatening and aggressive.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a statement released by ITV, a spokesperson confirmed:<\/p>\n

“Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour.”<\/p>\n
