Additionally, it said that lower Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P)\u00a0and southern Punjab may face the same conditions.<\/p>\n<p>It said that conditions could also turn severe in parts of southern and coastal Balochistan, with Kech, Panjgur, Washuk, Kharan, Khuzdar and Gwadar also likely to see gusty winds and rainfall.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Isolated hailstorms may also occur during the period,&#8221; the advisory on X read.<\/p>\n<p>Read: Karachi weather update: rain, thunder expected in city on February 17<\/p>\n<p>The advisory also said that cold, dry weather is expected elsewhere in Pakistan, especially in hilly areas.<\/p>\n<p>Officials advised people to stay indoors where possible, secure loose items and remain alert during thunderstorms, warning that travel in affected areas could be risky.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate notice yesterday, the department said that Karachi may face rain and thunder on Tuesday, February 17.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a warning for stormy weather and rain across several districts of Balochistan, lower Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and southern Punjab on Monday, urging residents to avoid unnecessary travel and take safety precautions.
