{"id":41005,"date":"2026-02-19T21:04:29","date_gmt":"2026-02-19T21:04:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=41005"},"modified":"2026-02-19T21:04:29","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T21:04:29","slug":"pindi-traders-reject-official-price-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=41005","title":{"rendered":"Pindi traders reject official price list"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Hassan Waqar Cheema has fixed new official prices for essential food and grocery items following a meeting of the District Price Control Committee.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Grocery Merchants Association, Milk Sellers&#8217; Union, Nanbai (tandoor owners) Association and Meat Sellers&#8217; Union have rejected the rates, describing them as &#8220;drawing-room figures&#8221; detached from market realities.<\/p>\n<p>According to a notification issued by the DC, the newly fixed prices are as follows: loose milk at Rs190 per litre; yoghurt Rs200 per kg; red flour roti Rs14; mutton Rs1,800 per kg; beef Rs900 per kg; large white chickpeas Rs260 per kg; small white chickpeas Rs220 per kg; gram flour (besan) Rs230 per kg; split gram (coarse) Rs235 per kg; split gram (fine) Rs220 per kg; moong lentils Rs340 per kg; mash lentils Rs400 per kg; old basmati rice Rs300 per kg; new basmati rice Rs290 per kg; and broken coarse rice Rs110 per kg.<\/p>\n<p>Prices of sugar, flour and ghee have been left open, as have the rates of naan, paratha and white flour roti.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Hassan Waqar Cheema has fixed new official prices for essential food and grocery items following a meeting of the District Price Control Committee.
