{"id":41408,"date":"2026-02-23T03:04:27","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T03:04:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=41408"},"modified":"2026-02-23T03:04:27","modified_gmt":"2026-02-23T03:04:27","slug":"ny-mayor-orders-storm-travel-ban","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=41408","title":{"rendered":"NY mayor orders storm travel ban"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani ordered a shutdown Sunday of the city&#8217;s entire traffic network to all but emergency travel ahead of a massive snowstorm expected to hit the northeast United States.<\/p>\n<p>Starting at 9pm Sunday to noon Monday a &#8220;state of emergency closes the streets, highways and bridges of New York City for all traffic, cars, trucks, scooters and E-bikes,&#8221; Mamdani told reporters.<\/p>\n<p>The ban will not affect essential workers or New Yorkers needing to travel due to emergencies, according to Mamdani.
