The individual \u200bbelieved to be \u200bthe gunman hijacked a car after \u200cthe \u2060shooting and died after police fired at the vehicle during a \u200bchase, Bordelon \u200btold \u2060NBC.<\/p>\n<p>Police did not share any information \u200babout this individual, \u200bbut \u2060Bordelon told NBC that some of the slain \u2060children &#8220;were \u200bhis descendants.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>School shootings are not uncommon in US.<\/p>\n<p>Two children were killed and 17 other people were injured in August 2025 after a gunman opened fire on schoolchildren and others at a Mass in a Minneapolis Catholic church, authorities said.
