As per a recent interview with MailOnline, Brittny, 34, explained how her husband, Formula One driver Jenson Button, was loading the car when a thief seized her Goyard carry-on suitcase in seconds. The suitcase contained valuable items, including two Kelly bags worth around £70,000, and sentimental jewellery, such as pieces from her wedding and the birth of her daughter.

Brittny revealed that while she typically travels with less luxurious items, she and her stylist had packed more expensive items for their romantic Valentine’s Day getaway. However, the experience of having her belongings stolen so brazenly left her feeling shaken. “I thought, ‘Should I have brought my carry-on back here with me?’” she told MailOnline. “I felt like everything was so unsecure, so chaotic.”

The thief, identified as 41-year-old Mourad Aid, acted quickly while the couple’s backs were turned, snatching the suitcase and fleeing the busy station. Despite the trauma, Brittny praised the British Transport Police for their quick response, with CCTV footage helping them track down the suspect. Aid was arrested on February 17, 2025, and pleaded guilty to theft at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on February 19. He remains in custody for sentencing.

However, the ordeal has left Brittny disillusioned with the UK. In the MailOnline interview, she stated, “It just feels so unsafe now,” adding that London no longer feels as welcoming as it once did. The theft, combined with the stress of the California wildfires that had already threatened their home earlier in the year, has led Brittny and Jenson to have “no interest” in returning to the UK.

Though Brittny is grateful that the robbery was not violent, the loss of her sentimental items weighs heavily on her. “A lot of people assume, ‘Your husband bought you those,’ but I worked hard for them,” she explained. “It’s just frustrating to have someone take what isn’t theirs.”

Brittny also noted the personal loss of the bags she intended to pass down to her daughter, reflecting on how the experience had altered her perspective. Despite the emotional toll, she finds comfort in knowing the thief is facing justice.

Jenson Button’s wife, Brittny Button, has expressed her decision to never return to the UK after a harrowing experience where a thief swiped her suitcase containing £250,000 worth of jewellery and designer handbags. The incident occurred on February 13, 2025, when the couple returned from a brief getaway in Paris and arrived at London’s St […]

[6

post-5657","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-english-news
["GET
