Benson Boone made his Saturday Night Live debut on May 3, performing as musical guest during an episode hosted by Abbott Elementary creator and star Quinta Brunson.<\/p>\n

The Grammy-nominated singer took the stage twice, first performing his single “Sorry I\u2019m Here for Someone Else” after an athletic flip from a piano, briefly serenading Brunson as she introduced him. The moment added a light-hearted interaction between host and guest, with Brunson offering a knowing glance before returning offstage.<\/p>\n

Hosting SNL for the second time, Brunson\u00a0opened the episode with a musical monologue celebrating the highs of being short. Backed by dancers, she sang about humorous perks like getting \u201cwasted on one glass of wine\u201d and wearing crop tops as dresses.<\/p>\n

Midway through, Sabrina Carpenter appeared to join the fun, delivering playful lines about life in a smaller frame, such as wondering if “short rib” just tastes like “rib” and whether “short stories” are just novels.<\/p>\n

Together, they celebrated celebrities known for their stature and achievements, including Simone Biles, Tom Holland, and Kendrick Lamar.<\/p>\n

While Carpenter did not perform musically, both she and Boone were recently nominated for Best New Artist at the 2025 Grammy Awards, though Chappell Roan ultimately claimed the prize.<\/p>\n

Boone\u2019s SNL appearance follows his standout Coachella debut in April, where he performed Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” alongside Brian May. He is also set to release his second studio album,\u00a0American Heart, on June 20.<\/p>\n
