{"id":6138,"date":"2025-05-04T18:04:08","date_gmt":"2025-05-04T18:04:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=6138"},"modified":"2025-05-04T18:04:08","modified_gmt":"2025-05-04T18:04:08","slug":"pti-decides-against-attending-govt-briefing-on-pakistan-india-situation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=6138","title":{"rendered":"PTI decides against attending govt briefing on Pakistan-India situation"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced it will not participate in the government\u2019s briefing on the current Pakistan-India tensions following the Pahalgam incident, Express News reported on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement issued after a meeting of PTI\u2019s political committee, the party reiterated its &#8220;unambiguous and consistent condemnation of all forms of terrorism.&#8221; The statement also highlighted former prime minister Imran Khan\u2019s repeated calls for national unity and internal stability, even while imprisoned.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Imran Khan, despite being unlawfully incarcerated, has clearly denounced terrorism and urged the nation towards unity,&#8221; the party said, calling his message \u201creflective of a national leader\u2019s vision.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>PTI reaffirmed its commitment to defending the country in the face of external aggression and cited a resolution passed on its founding day condemning Indian actions and propaganda.<\/p>\n<p>The party criticised the government for failing to convene an All Parties Conference (APC), arguing that such a step was crucial to build consensus on national security.
