Although fans admiring his youthful looks might disagree, Shehzad Roy knows he’s getting older. In a recent Instagram post, the musician revisited his old hit Tera Mukhra Haseen and added a spin on the lyrics to make them relatable to older women.<\/p>\n

Strumming his acoustic guitar, he dropped the original, “I’ve seen many girls, pretty ones,” and sang, “I’ve seen many aunties, pretty ones.” He wrote in the caption, “Was gonna dedicate this to the girls, but had to improvise instead.” The post also came with an announcement: “Catch me live at Celebration Square, Mississauga on June 13.”<\/p>\n

Fans responded to the revamped song with laughing emojis and hearts in the comments section. Appreciating the thoughtful change, a user wrote, “Well of course it will be ‘aunties’! We were girls when you started off! This needed to be [about the] ‘aunties’.”<\/p>\n

While some embraced the fact that they had now gotten old, others seemed as if they needed a minute to process the reminder. “Okay, Shehzad. If you’re the one calling me an aunty, I’ll accept it,” a fan said, while another wrote, “I was an infant when you started [out]. I’m an aunty now. You make me feel old.”<\/p>\n

But as his admirers begrudgingly face reality, they’ve also been envying their star for not showing signs of growing older. Earlier, a viral side-by-side image comparing Shehzad with Tom Cruise left fans wondering why the Laga Reh singer is not ageing. At least not when it comes to his looks.<\/p>\n

Although the Mission Impossible star looked sharp, he on the other hand sported visible signs of natural ageing, while Shehzad looked as if nothing about him had changed since 2002.<\/p>\n

Longtime fans validated the speculation, as one wrote, “When I was only six years old, I saw him at his concert in Nawabshah. Now I’m 31 and he looks exactly the same.”<\/p>\n

The viral comment that kicked things off was posted on an Instagram Story by a fan: “So even Tom is ageing, but Shehzad Roy isn’t? What sorcery is this?”<\/p>\n

Addressing the popular belief that he’s defying the laws of the universe, Shehzad replied, “[Tom] does his own stunts, and I can’t even plug in a charger in the dark without guessing.”<\/p>\n
