{"id":9317,"date":"2025-06-02T12:07:05","date_gmt":"2025-06-02T12:07:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=9317"},"modified":"2025-06-02T12:07:05","modified_gmt":"2025-06-02T12:07:05","slug":"two-delegations-to-present-pakistans-stance-on-recent-indian-aggression","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ipp-news.com\/?p=9317","title":{"rendered":"Two delegations to present Pakistan&#8217;s stance on recent Indian aggression"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Pakistan has sent two high-level delegations abroad to present its stance on recent tensions with India, the Foreign Office said Monday.<\/p>\n<p>A senior delegation comprising three former foreign ministers, ex-diplomats, senators, and a serving minister arrived in New York to begin a diplomatic campaign across key capitals including Washington DC, London, and Brussels.<\/p>\n<p>PPP Chairperson\u00a0Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Hina Rabbani Khar, and Khurram Dastgir, along with Senators Sherry Rehman, Musadik Malik, Faisal Sabzwari, and Bushra Anjum Butt, and diplomats Jalil Abbas Jilani and Tehmina Janjua, are part of the first delegation. They are set to meet UN Secretary-General Ant\u00f3nio Guterres, the President of the UN General Assembly, ambassadors from the P5 countries, and OIC members.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation\u2019s US engagements begin June 3 with meetings scheduled with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, American lawmakers, think tanks, and media organisations.<\/p>\n<p>A separate delegation led by Syed Tariq Fatemi will visit Moscow from June 2 to 4 for consultations with Russian officials and opinion leaders.<\/p>\n<p>The Foreign Office stated the mission&#8217;s aim to highlight Pakistan\u2019s peaceful and measured response to what it called \u201cIndian aggression\u201d and to reaffirm the country\u2019s commitment to dialogue, international law, and regional stability.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Pakistan countering India&#8217;s false narrative at UN&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Senator Sherry Rehman, a key member of Pakistan\u2019s diplomatic delegation to the United Nations, issued a strong statement today from New York, reaffirming Pakistan\u2019s commitment to exposing India\u2019s fabricated propaganda and presenting the country\u2019s principled stance on regional peace, international law, and responsible diplomacy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnder the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, our delegation has launched a full-spectrum diplomatic outreach in New York,\u201d said Senator Rehman. \u201cWe are here not for photo-ops, but for strategic engagement with the international community at the heart of the UN system.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Senator Rehman emphasized that Pakistan is actively presenting its diplomatic agenda, focused on peace, sustainable development, and regional stability. \u201cPakistan\u2019s image as a responsible and stable middle power is being clearly articulated. We are highlighting our unwavering respect for international law and our constructive role in South Asia\u2019s peace and security,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Rejecting India&#8217;s recent falsehoods, Senator Rehman warned against the dangerous normalization of using baseless terrorism allegations as a pretext for war. \u201cIndia\u2019s fabricated narrative will not be allowed to masquerade as truth. Using false allegations to justify military aggression is not only irresponsible\u2014it\u2019s unacceptable,\u201d she stated. \u201cTerrorism is a serious global issue and must be dealt with seriously, not exploited for political gain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Senator Rehman recalled Pakistan\u2019s heavy sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. \u201cWe\u2019ve waged one of the longest and most difficult ground battles against terrorism. Our people have paid with blood and resources. Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was herself martyred by extremists. We do not need lectures from those who manufacture threats for electoral theatrics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Senator Rehman praised Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari\u2019s leadership on the international stage. \u201cThe Prime Minister has entrusted Chairman Bilawal with the responsibility of presenting Pakistan\u2019s clear stance on Indian violations\u2014be it water aggression, Kashmir, or breaches of international peace laws. His response during India\u2019s recent military provocations was clear, reasoned, and effective.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Senator Rehman underscored Pakistan\u2019s commitment to dialogue and de-escalation, but not at the cost of silence. \u201cAs a responsible nuclear state, Pakistan believes in broad, just, and peaceful engagement. But we will not remain quiet on Prime Minister Modi\u2019s reckless and dangerous policies. We will continue to warn the world of their consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Concluding her remarks, Senator Rehman stated, \u201cWhether it\u2019s on the battlefield or the diplomatic front, Pakistan knows how to defend itself.
