Franky Venegas, known as Kodiyakredd from the Island Boys duo, suffered his third consecutive boxing defeat on Sunday night, quitting midway through his bout against 48-year-old internet personality Charleston White. The match, hosted by Adin Ross’ Brand Risk Promotions in Nashville, marked another setback for the 23-year-old rapper’s fighting aspirations.

Kodiyakredd, previously 0-2 in the ring, took on White during the first traveling edition of Ross’ monthly event, typically held in Miami. White, who has only one functioning eye, was unable to get sanctioned in Florida, prompting the event’s move to Nashville. The fight marked White’s long-awaited boxing debut, supported by a corner team that included Milton Lacroix, former coach to Shannon Briggs and Logan Paul.

The match began with promise, as Kodiyakredd appeared to benefit from his youth and prior fight experience. However, the bout quickly devolved into a sluggish exchange with poor technique and minimal movement from both fighters. After a slip in the second round and a punch from White that visibly stunned him, Kodiyakredd retreated to his corner and informed the referee he would not continue.

Following the bout, White announced his intention to fight again, despite concerns about his health and age. He told critics to “sign up for the next fight,” adding humorously that he’s more likely to call the police than enjoy taking punches in the ring.

Kodiyakredd later blamed his poor showing on smoking nicotine and marijuana before the fight. “I gassed out,” he admitted. With a 0-3 record, questions about the rapper’s future in boxing continue to grow.
