Police revealed the case during an ongoing investigation.
The husband, Zia, had initially filed a missing person report, claiming that upon returning home on July 11, he found that his wife (SG), whom he married in January, had left home with cash and jewellery following a minor dispute.
He later learned she had married a man named Usman, despite already being married.

Based on this, police registered an FIR and began probing the incident. A senior police officer, speaking anonymously, disclosed to The Express Tribune that the woman had been forcibly brought back and allegedly murdered.
Her body was quietly buried in a nearby area.
During the investigation, the local gravedigger was interrogated, leading to the discovery of the burial site. The suspects reportedly erased the grave markings to destroy evidence. Police have arrested the gravedigger and others involved.
Efforts are underway to obtain court permission to exhume the body and conduct a post-mortem.
The FIR has been updated to include charges of murder and honour killing. Raids are ongoing to arrest the primary suspect and his accomplices. Despite repeated attempts, the police spokesperson was unavailable for comment, stating that the matter is under review by senior officials.
