A temporary airspace closure at Islamabad Airport resulted in unexpected disruptions to the flight schedule on Friday, causing minor delays for passengers at Islamabad International Airport.

According to details provided by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) spokesperson, the FIA’s Immigration section successfully processed the immigration of 2,847 passengers within three hours, thanks to swift and effective measures.

All 14 counters at the FIA Immigration Departure section remained fully operational, and a total of 12 international flights departed for various destinations during the same three-hour window on Friday.

The spokesperson further noted that the sudden rescheduling led to an unusually high number of passengers departing simultaneously.

Nevertheless, FIA Immigration conducted all screenings and clearances in full compliance with established protocols and regulations. The department reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to delivering efficient, prompt, and high-quality services to all travellers at all times.
