According to a Foreign Office statement, the high commissioner said that Britain was extending £3 million in emergency relief and response in coordination with the government of Pakistan and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA)
She said that further humanitarian assistance would also follow. Dar appreciated the timely commitment, expressing gratitude for the UK’s understanding of the scale of destruction, the urgency of needs, and its solidarity in supporting relief and rehabilitation efforts.
Meanwhile, Singapore announced humanitarian assistance worth $50,000 for the flood victims in Pakistan. According to its Foreign Ministry, the amount will be provided as seed money for the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) fundraising campaign launched last week for flood relief.
