According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the exercise maintained its highly demanding professional standards, testing the endurance, tactical skills, and teamwork of participating patrols from around the world.
Teams were required to navigate 60 kilometers of difficult and inhospitable terrain within 48 hours, completing a series of specialised military tasks in a contested environment that simulated real combat conditions.
A total of 137 teams from 36 countries took part in this year’s competition. The Pakistan Army team, led by Captain Muhammad Saad, delivered an outstanding performance throughout the event and was awarded the Gold Medal, the ISPR said.
The statement added that this achievement is a matter of pride for the entire nation and reflects the professionalism, dedication, and high training standards of the Pakistan Army.
It further stated that the Pakistan Army will continue its pursuit of excellence and remain committed to upholding the country’s flag with honour in all future international military competitions.
Interestingly, the Pakistan Army also won the gold medal at Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2024, when 128 teams from 42 countries participated in the event. The back-to-back achievement reflects the exceptionally high training standards and operational excellence of the Pakistan Army.
