Shehbaz condemns Houthi attack on Riyadh airport
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, expressing condolences to the families of those killed and praying for the speedy and full recovery of the injured.
In a statement, he said targeting civilians and critical infrastructure was unacceptable and posed a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
He called for an immediate halt to attacks that violated international law.
Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its leadership and people, reiterating Islamabad’s commitment to supporting the kingdom under the Makkah Mutual Defence Agreement.
He said Pakistan remained committed to safeguarding Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and security, adding that the brotherly ties between the two countries remained strong.
